Yamaha YDP-164 R Digital Piano

The Yamaha YDP-164 R is an Arius digital piano in a rosewood finish, made for home playing and regular practice. It suits a broad range of players, from students building their technique to advanced pianists who want a responsive instrument for daily work.

The keyboard uses Yamaha’s Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) action with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops. It is designed to give a natural, acoustic-style feel and precise touch response, which helps when you’re working on dynamic control and expressive phrasing.

The sound is based on the Yamaha CFX concert grand piano voice. With 192-note polyphony, dense or sustained passages are less likely to drop notes as they build up. Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) and the Stereophonic Optimizer both work on balance and realism, so the piano sounds natural whether you’re playing through the speakers or practising on headphones.
