Corina Duetto Violin 4/4

The Corina Duetto is a full-size 4/4 violin for students who want a properly set-up instrument for lessons, home practice and ensemble rehearsals. It pairs a solid spruce top with maple back and sides, the traditional tonewood combination for violins, and is voiced for a warm tone.

The bridge and nut have been adjusted to reduce the effort needed to press the strings. That matters most in the early years, when tired fingers and a hard-to-play instrument can make practice sessions shorter than they should be. Ebony is used for both the fingerboard and the pegs, and the body is finished with purfling and a matte antiqued finish that gives the Duetto an understated, lived-in look rather than a high gloss.

For a student moving up to a 4/4 or starting on a full-size instrument, this violin covers the details that affect day-to-day playing.

• Solid spruce top with maple back and sides
• Bridge and nut adjusted for easier playing
