The LP LP228 Black Beauty is an 8-inch cowbell from Latin Percussion, built from alloy steel and finished in black powder coat. It produces a high-pitched, bright tone that projects clearly and cuts through a band, so your pattern stays audible when everyone else is playing too.
That focused, cutting voice suits Latin grooves, funk, rock and pop. Play it with drumsticks as part of a kit, or treat it as a hand percussion instrument alongside congas, timbales or other auxiliary percussion. The steel construction is made to hold up to heavy playing, which matters on an instrument that is struck hard and often.
The mounting bracket fits 3/8-inch diameter rods, so you can attach it securely to a drum kit or percussion rig and keep it in a fixed, consistent position while you play.
