- Description
- Specifications
The Thomann Brazilian Cavaquinho Standard is a compact four-string cavaquinho built for the music it is most associated with: samba, choro and other Brazilian styles. If you want to join a roda, add the bright chordal rhythm a cavaquinho gives a samba groove, or learn choro melodies on their native instrument, this one is aimed squarely at that role.
The body pairs a spruce top with sapele back and sides, and the neck is maple with an acacia fretboard. Its small, lightweight build makes it easy to bring along to lessons, rehearsals, studio sessions or gigs, and comfortable for longer playing spells.
It suits newcomers taking their first steps into Brazilian music as well as more experienced players who want a straightforward cavaquinho for everyday practice and performance.
- Four-string Brazilian cavaquinho for samba, choro and related styles
- Spruce top with sapele back and sides
- Maple neck with acacia fretboard
