Yamaha YDP-165 Digital Piano

The Yamaha YDP-165 is a digital piano from the Arius range, built for players at any stage who want a home instrument that responds like a piano. The Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard is topped with synthetic ivory and ebony keytops, giving a natural feel under the fingers and the precise control needed for dynamics and phrasing.

The voice comes from Yamaha’s CFX concert grand piano sample, so practice and performance are based on the sound of a real concert grand. With 192-note polyphony, sustained passages and pedalled chords have plenty of headroom before notes start to cut out.

Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) helps keep the sound balanced as you change the volume, which is useful when you can’t always play at full level. For headphone practice, the Stereophonic Optimizer gives a more immersive, balanced sound, making late-night sessions more comfortable. The cabinet design suits a living room as well as a studio.
