Fender Player Series Jazz Bass

The Fender Player Jazz Bass is a four-string electric bass that pairs the familiar Jazz Bass layout with a Modern “C” maple neck. That neck profile is the part your fretting hand meets on every note, which makes it a key thing to consider if you play long rehearsals or extended sets.

The body is alder, and the electronics follow the classic J-style arrangement: two Player Series Alnico V single-coil pickups, a volume control for each pickup and a master tone knob. With separate volumes you can favour one pickup, solo it or blend the pair. The tone control then rounds off or opens up the result. It’s a simple, hands-on setup that suits players who like adjusting their sound quickly from the instrument itself, whether at home, in rehearsal, in the studio or on stage.
