Kala MK-C Makala Concert Ukulele

The Kala Makala MK-C is a concert ukulele built from layered mahogany across the top, back and sides, finished in a satin natural look. The concert body is a step up from a soprano, and with 15 nickel-silver frets on a rosewood fingerboard you get a bit more room up the neck for melodies and chord voicings.

The mahogany neck has a satin finish, which tends to feel smooth rather than sticky under a moving hand. Sealed geared tuners make fine adjustments straightforward and help the instrument stay in pitch between sessions. It comes strung with Aquila Nylgut strings, which give it a mellow voice that pairs well with the warm, rounded character of mahogany.

This Makala is a practical choice for strumming at home, working out songs or moving up from a soprano to a little more space on the fretboard. The layered body and satin finish keep it relaxed and easy to live with for everyday playing.
