Komplete kontrol a61

The Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A61 is a 61-key MIDI keyboard controller built around browsing and playing virtual instruments. Five octaves give room for two-handed parts, splits and chord work, and the semi-weighted keybed sits between a light synth action and a heavier piano feel.

Much of the workflow runs from the hardware. A four-directional push encoder and OLED display let you move through presets without reaching for the mouse. Eight touch-sensitive knobs come pre-mapped to Komplete instruments and to NKS-compatible plugins, so parameters are assigned as soon as a sound loads. Transport controls integrate with your DAW for recording and playback from the keyboard.

Smart Play adds scale, chord and arpeggio functions. These are useful for sketching harmonic ideas quickly, or for building fuller parts on stage from simple input. Pitch and modulation wheels handle bends and expressive movement. The A61 suits producers and keyboardists who work mainly with Komplete or NKS instruments and want hands-on control.
