Line 6 Spider V 20 Guitar Amplifier

The Line 6 Spider V 20 MkII is a 20-watt guitar modeling amp in a compact combo format, built around an 8-inch speaker paired with a tweeter. Inside are more than 200 amp, cabinet and effect models, so one practice amp can cover a lot of stylistic ground without a pedalboard.

Sixteen onboard presets give you a quick starting point, running from Clean through Crunch to Insane, with Bass and Ambient options as well. When you want to shape your own sounds, you can run up to three effects at once alongside a separate reverb, which makes it easy to layer delay, modulation and space. A tap-tempo control lets you lock time-based effects to the song you’re playing.

The built-in tuner keeps everything in one place. A headphone/line output lets you practise silently or feed another system, and the USB interface connects the amp to a computer for recording or streaming. It’s a sensible fit for home practice or for players who want plenty of tones in a small combo.
