Kala Makala MK-S Soprano Ukulele

The Kala Makala MK-S is a soprano ukulele, the smallest of the standard sizes. It’s a compact, easy-to-handle instrument for anyone starting out, and a handy grab-and-play option for experienced players who want the classic soprano feel.

The satin finish gives the body a low-sheen look that feels smooth rather than glossy under the hands. The fingerboard has 12 brass frets, which covers the traditional soprano range for chords and simple melodies. Geared tuners make small pitch adjustments more precise and help the uke hold its tuning between sessions, a real advantage for beginners still training their ear.

The MK-S comes strung with Aquila Super Nylgut strings, so it’s ready to tune up and play straight away. Players have noted its solid build and good volume for a soprano.
