Kala MK-SE Ukulele Soprano EQ

The Kala MK-SE is a soprano ukulele with built-in electronics, so the same compact uke you practise on at home can plug into an amp or PA when it’s time to play for others. Its mahogany body and neck are paired with a rosewood fingerboard and a satin finish.

The electro-acoustic side comes from a Kala UK-300TR active preamp. Its 2-band EQ lets you adjust the plugged-in sound to suit the room or the mix, whether you’re on a small stage, at an open mic or recording. The chromatic tuner is built in, so you can tune between songs without a clip-on tuner.

At soprano size, the MK-SE is light and easy to carry, which suits travel and casual jam sessions. The neck has 12 brass frets. It’s an approachable choice for newer players and a practical plug-in option for experienced ukulele players.
