Kala MK-T Tenor Ukulele

The Kala MK-T is a tenor ukulele with a mahogany top, back and sides in a natural satin finish. Mahogany is associated with a warm voice, so this uke suits strummed accompaniment, fingerpicked melodies and songs across a range of styles.

The tenor body is the main reason to choose it. A 16.875-inch scale and 18 frets give you more room on the fingerboard than smaller sizes, which helps with chord changes for larger hands or anyone moving between shapes. Newer players get a forgiving layout to learn on, and experienced players have space to explore further up the neck. A walnut fingerboard sits under your fingers, and the instrument comes strung with Aquila Super Nylgut strings.

It’s also light and easy to carry. You can take it to practice sessions, bring it on a trip or play it at an informal gig.
