Line 6 Spider IV 30 Guitar Amplifier

The Line 6 Spider IV 30 is a 30-watt solid-state modeling guitar amp that packs a broad range of tones into one black combo. A 12-inch custom Celestion speaker sits in a three-quarter closed-back cabinet, and 12 amp models cover two variations each of Clean, Twang, Blues, Crunch, Metal and Insane. That lets you move from clean chords to country-style twang, bluesy breakup or heavy high-gain rhythm without changing amps.

Shaping a sound is straightforward from the front panel, with Drive, a 3-band EQ, Channel Volume and Master Volume. Once you have a tone you like, four programmable channels let you store it and recall it later, which is handy if you switch between a few go-to sounds during practice or rehearsal.

Seven Smart FX, including chorus, delay and reverb, are built in, along with tap tempo for setting delay timing by feel. A tuner is on board too. For quieter sessions or recording, there’s a headphone/direct output, and the CD/MP3 input lets you play along with backing tracks or songs you’re learning.
